KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) brought cheer to the boys and staff of The Salvation Army Boys Home at Jalan Ban Hock here yesterday, distributing angpows and oranges to them.
PSB president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh said the visit was in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.
“There are 29 boys and eight staff at the centre. Each of them received an angpow and also oranges,” he told reporters during the visit.
Wong said the PSB group would be making similar visits to the Sarawak General Hospital Cancer Ward, Kenyalang Chinese New Year Market, Sarawak Society for the Blind, and The Salvation Army Children’s Home at Jalan Upland.
Separately, he disclosed the party would not be hosting an open house this Chinese New Year.
