KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) has pledged to make donations to the less fortunate as well as to charitable organisations during every festive occasion.

Its president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh said the party is aware that there are those who are unable to celebrate festivals due to various problems, including financial constraints.

“For this year’s Chinese New Year celebration for example, we are donating in the form of angpows and oranges to those who are less fortunate.

“We hope to do our part in bringing festive joy to them,” he said after visiting The Salvation Army Children’s Home and Sarawak Centre for the Blind, here yesterday.

The two were among the various places visited by Wong and his team since last week, to hand over donations in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year celebration.

Yesterday’s visits saw Wong present donations to 50 children at The Salvation Army Children’s Home, and to 36 recipients at Sarawak Centre for the Blind.

With him during the visits were PSB advisor Dr Chou Chu Ming, PSB executive secretary Margaret Fong and PSB members including the party’s Ngemah branch chairperson Susan Clement.
