GPS strives to ensure development reaches all Sarawakians — Rosey

MIRI: Sarawak will continue to be blessed with development, implemented by the present state government under the ruling coalition, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

In stating this, Assistant Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Rosey Yunus pointed out that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, had brought tremendous progress to the people, especially to those living in the rural areas of Sarawak.

In this respect, she also called upon the Chinese community to continue supporting the present state government.

Rosey, who is Bekenu assemblywoman, made these remarks when met during one of her Chinese New Year visits to the open house events hosted by Chinese politicians and community leaders in Bekenu and Batu Niah.

The assistant minister was accompanied by political secretaries to the chief minister Sarkawi Suhaili, Julani Mokhtar, Councillor Hadijah Sheikh Kassim and Councillor Sulaiman Ahmad.

Among those who hosted the visit by Rosey and her entourage were Penghulu Haw Min Wai, Kapitan Pui Kuan Phen, Kapitan Kuan Chui Cho, and local businessman Tang See Chai.
