KCGCCI to celebrate 130th anniversary this year

KUCHING: The Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) is gearing up for its 130th anniversary celebration this year.

This was revealed by its president Dato Tan Jit Kee who pointed out that the organisation will be organising a number of activities to be held in conjunction with the celebration.

“We are planning on holding seminars as well as other programmes that are related to KCGCCI.

“We hope that this year will be a good year for us and we are optimistic,” he told reporters at his Chinese New Year open house on Sunday.

Tan also shared that KCGCCI is very positive in embracing e-payment platforms and regarded these platforms as a way to move forward for KCGCCI members.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing, Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife Datin Zuraini Abdul Jabbar, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali and Batang Sadong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri were among the dignitaries who visited Tan and his family on the second day of Chinese New Year.
