KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Youth has this morning lodged a police report against Meluan assemblyman Rolland Duat Jubin over alleged racist remarks he had made against the party’s president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh recently.

A group of PSB members led by Youth chief Dr Johnichal Rayong Ngipa lodged the report at Sg Maong Police Station here over the remarks allegedly made at a longhouse in Meluan on January 27.

“He (Rolland) has no control over himself, hinting YB Wong Soon Koh is a communist, also PSB a Chinese party and led by a communist.

“This is of no basis. That YB (Roland) is inciting hatred between Chinese and Iban. This is really a racist remark,” Rayong told reporters after making the report.

He added: “PSB is a multiracial and democratic party registered with RoS (Registrar of Societies) based on the Constitution. To allege that it (PSB) is a communist party is not right.”

The Engkilili assemblyman asserted that the claims made by Rolland, who is a Progressive Democratic Party vice president, that Wong would mistreat the Ibans was defamatory.

According to Rayong, a video recording of Rolland making the alleged remarks has been shared all over social media.
