KUCHING: Members of the public are invited to attend the (Undokai-Bunkasai) organised by Sarawak-Japan Friendship Club (SJFC) next Sunday (Feb 16) at The Hills Shopping Mall from 2pm to 6pm.
The festival will have experience booths for the public to take part such as yukata wearing, origami folding and kendama (traditional Japanese handle ball) playing contest.
Visitors will also be able to watch the competition taking place on the floor as four teams, namely SJFC, SM Sains Kuching, Sekishin Aikido Club and Judo Club, battle it out to win in games such as egg-and-spoon race, leapfrog race, centipede race, tug-of-war, ball tossing, and more.
From 4.30pm, there will be stage demonstrations by Aikido and Judo Clubs besides other interesting performances.
The festival will finish with prize presentation ceremony and a Tokyo Ondo dance by all participants.
