Dr Ting accepts disqualification as Pujut rep with open heart

MIRI: Dr Ting Tiong Choon, who was officially disqualified as Pujut assemblyman by the Federal Court in Putrajaya yesterday, said he accepted the court’s decision ‘with an open heart’.

In noting that he had done his best in serving the people of Pujut since he was elected in 2016, he said it was unfortunate that the court’s decision was not in his favour.

“I would like to thank all those who had voted me as Pujut assemblyman as well as the public, especially in Miri, for their support to DAP (Democratic Action Party),” said Dr Ting, who was in Kuala Lumpur when contacted by The Borneo Post.

“It has been a pleasure to have served the people of Pujut, who have been very supportive towards me,” he added.
