KUCHING: Police have classified the case of a 51-year-old man who was found dead at a house in Kampung Sadong Jaya, Asajaya yesterday afternoon (Feb 11) as sudden death.
Kota Samarahan district police chief DSP Lee Chong Chern said the deceased has been identified as Abang Ramlee Ipee from Kampung Lintang Jaie, Sadong Jaya.
“Based on the deceased’s medical record, he was diagnosed with high cholesterol level and high blood pressure,” said Lee in a statement today.
Early investigations also revealed that the deceased’s body did not show signs of bruises or struggles which eliminates any criminal act.
He further adds that a medical personnel from the Asajaya clinic confirmed that the deceased had died at the scene.
The police were informed of the case at around 2.20pm yesterday by one of the deceased’s friend who stumbled upon the body.
It is revealed that the deceased is staying alone at the house, which is situated near a swiftlet farm, where he was working as the caretaker.
The body has since been transferred to the Sarawak General Hospital’s morgue for further action.
