KUCHING: Residents in Asajaya and Sadong Jaya sub-districts including Kampung Sui and Kampung Sungai Buluh will experience shortage of water supply from Feb 18 to 19 due to some major pipeline connectivity works at the Summer Mall Complex and Tambirat Pump Station.

The pipeline extension works will be carried out by contractors between 10pm and 6am on Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb 18 & 19), said a statement by the state Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) today.

The department advised consumers in the affected areas to “make water savings and save water usage” during the water supply disruption period.

“The JBALB Division is always on the lookout for water deliveries to affected areas, especially schools and clinics, and will continue to closely monitor the water supply from time to time,” said the statement.

All the latest developments will be posted on the official JBALB Sarawak Facebook page and the JBALB Samarahan Division Facebook page.

Any questions or complaints can be channelled to Tamida Da’adi (Water Engineering engineer) at 013-8115351, JBALB Office of the Shipment Division (082-672838) or JBALB Hotline Division (010-2820750 – WhatsApp only).
