Five new PUI cases at SGH, 85 in total

KUCHING: Five new patient-under-investigation (PUI) cases, which all involved Malaysians, have been recorded at Sarawak General Hospital yesterday, said a statement released by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee.

This latest figure brings the cumulative PUI cases for Covid-19 in Sarawak since Jan 10 to 85 cases as of yesterday.  From the number 75 cases have proven negative after laboratory tests.

The remaining 10 cases are still pending results.

These 85 cases comprise 64 Malaysians, 18 Chinese nationals and one each from Thailand, Indonesia and Canada.

The Health Department has screened 5,176 arrivals at various airports, land and sea entry points throughout the state as of yesterday.
