Farewell Agenlina

KOTA KINABALU: Farewell Angelina, an American country-music band comprised of four powerhouse vocalists, will perform with local Sabahan artist Ora Della performance at Kompleks JKKN in Kota Kinabalu on Feb 18 at 7.30pm

The American band is coming to Sabah and Sarawak as part of the U.S. Embassy’s American Music Abroad Program (AMA). Through the universal appeal of music, the program communicates America’s rich musical traditions by fostering cross-cultural communication and people-to-people connections worldwide.

AMA focuses on younger and underserved audiences who don’t often have access to live American performances.

Named after a Bob Dylan tune, Farewell Angelina is an all-female country group formed by longtime friends, Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres, and Ashley Gearing, who met while pursuing their dreams in Nashville, Tennessee.

All successful songwriters and multi-instrumentalists before teaming up, every member plays brilliantly to her strengths, creating a sound that will stick with listeners long after the concert ends.

While in Sabah, Farewell Angelina will sing with Ora Della, a Sabahan Sumandak well-known for her powerful and energetic voice.

Apart from performing in Kota Kinabalu, including celebrating the city’s annual KK Day, the American band will also travel to Keningau to perform at a school there.
