The all-female band ‘Farewell Angelina’ is named after a Bob Dylan song.

KUCHING: The US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will host a free public concert at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Auditorium here this Feb 20, featuring an all-female country music group from Nashville, Tennessee called ‘Farewell Angelina’.

Named after the title of a Bob Dylan song, the group comprises four women who not only sing, but also write songs and are multi-instrumentalists.

Long-time friends Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres and Ashley Gearing first met one another years back when they were pursuing solo music careers and writing songs for other country music stars.

They sang together once and at that time, they felt the undeniable magic of their vocals together and since then, they have created chart-topping songs, as well as performed and toured all over the globe.

Last year, they toured and played over 80 shows worldwide.

This year, they will be performing at venues in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Slovenia.

The concert, whilst free, is a limited-seat show. For tickets and reservation of seats, call 082-555 189 during working regular hours, or forward requests via [email protected]
