Constant rainfall causes flash floods in Kuching, situation under control

Several areas, including Taman Uni Garden in Kota Samarahan, have become waterlogged due to constant rain.

KUCHING: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has reported that the water level in certain parts of the city which are currently affected by flash floods is under control.

Periodic rainfall since early this morning has caused several areas in the city to become waterlogged.

Notable affected areas include Padang Merdeka, Pangkalan Abok, Pangkalan Ang Cheng Ho and a few other areas within the Petanak market area.

In Bau, Bomba reported that affected areas includes Kampung Segong and Kampung Setunggang.

In Kota Samarahan, affected areas are at Taman Samarindah and Taman Uni Garden.
