A 17-year-old boy from Siburan who is reported to have fallen into the river from the Kuap Bridge at Jalan Datuk Muhammad Musa early this morning.
KUCHING: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has launched a search and rescue operation for a 17-year-old boy from Siburan who is reported to have fallen into the river from the Kuap Bridge at Jalan Datuk Muhammad Musa early this morning.
According to a report received by the department, the victim had fallen from the bridge at about 8am and was swept away by the strong current downstream.
The incident was said to have been witnessed by the victim’s wife, mother and sister.
Personnel from the Tabuan Jaya and Samarahan fire stations are at the scene.
