KUCHING: The Dewan Sri Buntal flood evacuation centre was officially closed at 4pm yesterday, with the families who had sought temporary shelter there returning to their respective homes.
The State Disaster Management Committee said in a statement the centre had housed 50 flood victims from 14 families from Kampung Sungai Lumut and Kampung
Buntal.
The affected families arrived at the centre on Sunday after heavy rain since Saturday triggered flooding at the two villages.
