Sarikei’s SMK St Anthony records 100 per cent passing rate for STPM

SARIKEI: Kenny Chan Jie Huie emerged the top Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) student of SMK St Anthony here, having obtained an outstanding 4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in the public examination.

He scored A in all four subjects that he took last year.

The school, on the other hand, recorded 100 per cent passing rate, as all 42 students who sat for the STPM examination, had qualified for receiving full certificates.

Of all STPM subjects taken by SMK St Anthony’s Form 6 students last year, General Paper, Chemistry and Biology recorded 100 per cent passing rates,
while Additional Mathematics and Physics registered 97.62 per cent and 97.06 per cent, respectively.

According the school principal Vincent Liong, 21 students obtained CGPA of 3.0 and above, including seven who scored a combination of A and A- grades.
