SMK Chung Hua Miri produces two straight-A achievers

MIRI: SMK Chung Hua Miri recorded 100 per cent passing rate for last year’s Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination.

Principal Albert Ong was happy with the achievement.

“Our GPS (School Grade Average) for STPM 2019 registered 2.84 per cent. Every subject also showed improvements in passing percentage,” he said when met after the announcement of results yesterday.

SMK Chung Hua Miri produced two STPM top-scorers who obtained straight As – Francis Yap Thai Yi and Mary Ling Lee Hui.

Another high-achiever from the school was Yeo Hui May, who attained 3As.

Six students got 2Bs in the examination.

Meanwhile, SMK Lutong produced seven STPM straight-A scorers.

The school’s parent-teacher association (PTA) chairperson Councillor Misiah Abdullah was very pleased with this achievement, adding that SMK Lutong fared better with its GPS for STPM 2019, at 3.05 per cent, than those attained over the past few years.
