KUCHING: As the year 2020 welcomes the Visit Sarawak Campaign Phase Two, Sarawak Tourism Board has been continuously placing their best effort to make sure Sarawak stands out in the domestic market.
This year, Sarawak Tourism Board had organised a Sarawak More to Discover Business Networking Sessions from Feb 23 to 26, 2020 with various travel agencies and industry partners in Kota Bahru, Kelantan; Alor Setar, Kedah; Ipoh, Perak and Kuala Lumpur.
The networking session is a collaboration with the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Sarawak Chapter as an initiative to roll with promoting and updating the destinations in Sarawak, as well as to highlight the connectivity from Kota Bahru to Kuching.
A total of nine Sarawak industry partners participated throughout the sessions. These included Amogha Tours & Travel, Brighton Travel & Tours, Cat City Holidays, CPH Travel Agencies (Sarawak), Greatown Travel, Tropical Adventure Tours & Travel, Grand Margherita and Riverside Majestic Hotels, UCSI Hotel Kuching and the Sarawak Convention Bureau.
The business networking session is a great platform for industry partners to gain new partnership and establish new contacts.
“With the current Covid-19 outbreak, we see this as an opportunity for us to boost the domestic tourism, as most local agents are looking into domestic tourism seriously,” said one of the participating agents.
