BAU: Datuk Dr Tiki Lafe says he has decided to return to politics because he is confident Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) can win and take over the state government in the next state election.
He noted that PSB has great potential to become the biggest local party, formed by Sarawakians and headed by Sarawakians, that can steer the state to greater heights.
The former Mas Gading MP thanked PSB for picking him as its candidate to contest in Tasik Biru and pledged to work hard for the party’s victory.
Dr Tiki said some people have asked why he joined PSB, and his answer was because he saw PSB was a local party that had the potential to win not just in Tasik Biru but also to take over the state government in the coming state election.
“Aside from that, PSB is also a true multi-racial party, having representatives and candidates from all races who will fight for all and bring Sarawak to a better future,” he said at the launch of the Tasik Biru PSB service centre at Kampung Suba Bandar here today.
He said another reason why he returned to politics was because he was concerned for the future of the new generation.
He lamented that the current political scenario painted a bleak future for the new generation and that a true multi-racial party that strives for equality and fairness for all like PSB should be supported.
“Based on my previous experience in politics and in the government, I hope I can contribute to the people in Tasik Biru and the party,” he said.
