150 hired at Kinabatangan Job Carnival

KINABATANGAN: A total of 150 job seekers secured employment during Kinabatangan Job Carnival, a collaboration between JTK and the Human Resource Development Department (JPSM) yesterday.

Eighteen employers and training providers participated in this year’s carnival by offering 421 vacancies. A total of 450 guests attended the carnival which ended at 2pm yesterday.

The carnival was officiated by Sukau assemblyman, Datuk Saddi bin Hj. Abdul Rahman.

He urged young people, especially job seekers in the area, to avoid choosing a job and to take the work to gain experience first.

He also said that the application of creative and innovative culture to youth starts as early as school.

“We need to encourage our children to enhance skills to improve their self-esteem,” he said.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Zainuddin Aman, director of JPSM as co-organizers.

Also present at the program were Maddinin Jemin, Kinabatangan District Officer and Othman Abdullah, chief assistant director, JTK Employment Services Division representing Sabah managing director.
