Celcom Axiata Berhad chief executive officer Idham Nawawi said Celcom is proud to be the first telco in Malaysia that enables cashback as an effort to financially aid consumers and reduce living costs, with the availability of digital currency that can be used for purchasing everyday items via e-wallet.

“As consumers continue to engage in today’s digital ecosystem, we are also conscious about the current Covid-19 outbreak that has impacted their livelihood and the nation’s economy,” he said in a press release.

“We want to ensure that our customers get the best value for their purchases from us. Celcom’s prepaid and postpaid cashback will be an alternative benefit for customers, allowing them to purchase their daily needs via Boost e-wallet, both digitally and at all participating stores nationwide.”

Until June 30 this year, Celcom Xpax prepaid consumers will enjoy 10 per cent cashback when they purchase Celcom Xpax reloads and Internet Reloads of RM10 and above via the Celcom Life App.

The cashback allows customers to utilise digital currency and purchase their everyday needs at all digital or retail stores serviced by Boost e-wallet.

To date, Boost e-wallet is available at over 135,000 retail merchants nationwide including for groceries, paying bills online, food, and fuel.
