KUCHING: Hope Place Kuching is looking for volunteer drivers for an impending expedition – an annual charity project called ‘Giving Hope, Sharing Love’.
The expedition will take them to four longhouses in Lingga, Sri Aman this year, to provide the residents with food aid, healthcare and hairdressing services.
The convoy will leave Kuching on April 18.
A press statement from Hope Place said the two-day expedition will involve 20 pick-up trucks, and will include an hour of jungle trekking to reach two of the longhouses.
All expenses such as petrol for the 4WD vehicles, maintenance and repairs are to be covered by the volunteers themselves.
