KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will continue to work with the Federal Government on issues related to foreigners.

“We will assist the Federal Government in the matter, on how to address the problem. Now there is no more problem with PSS (Sabah Temporary Pass),” Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal said during the ground breaking ceremony of the 1Sulaman Platinum Tower yesterday.

He said the Home Affairs Minister and his deputy can be asked to resolve the issue.

“We will assist. And don’t accuse me of issuing IC,” he said.

On the Federal Government’s parliament cabinet members, he said that it was their right.

Shafie said that the Sabah government only hopes to continue working with the Federal Government in the context of “government to government”.

“Sabah is not apart from Malaysia, hence, if the Federal Government needs assistance from the Sabah government, we are ready to render our cooperation,” he said.

He added that the Federal Government would need the Sabah government’s input if it needs land to carry out its development in the aspects of housing, security, health and education.

“We are ready to give our cooperation,” he said.
