Covid-19: Sarawak records 13 new PUI cases

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 13 new Person-Under-Investigation (PUI) cases for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Monday, said the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).

It said in a statement today that 10 are at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), two at Miri Hospital and one at Sibu Hospital.

“This brings the PUI cases in the state, since January 10 this year, to an accumulative total of 233 cases,” it said.

The committee said that so far, 215 had tested negative for Covid-19.

It also said 18 cases are still awaiting results from laboratory testing of which 13 are at SGH, two in Miri and one in Sibu.

The pending cases are all Malaysians, it added.

The State Health Department has until 11am yesterday, screened 14,054 visitors to the state at its various airports, land and sea entry points.
