KUCHING: The new federal Cabinet lineup is well-balanced as far as Sarawak’s perspective is concerned, opined Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief Dato Idris Buang.

“For the non-GPS Sarawakian YBs are concerned, I believe GPS as a whole could work with them.

“Afterall, with Sarawak First as our committed motto of struggle GPS are naturally magnanimous over those who also agreed to join hands for that purpose,” he said in a press statement today.

Idris pointed out that the concept of cooperation in the federal government under the formula Perikatan Nasional (PN) Plus Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) should give Sarawak a meaningful place in the nation’s trajectory into the future in all aspect of development and progress.

“Our GPS (coalition) and its ministers, though not part of PN, would also serve to be the first line advocates of Sarawak rights and interests, in the formulation of national policies.

“They too would be our ‘front strikers’ to generally score vital points for Sarawak in getting optimum benefits for the Sarawakians while defending at all costs established multicultural values and harmony,” he said.

Idris expressed his confidence that Sarawak and its people stand to gain with this line up, while congratulating thouse who have been chosen.

“Now, is the time to move on and put your best to serve the state and nation in accordance with the trust reposed upon all of you,” he said.
