SIBU: The annual ‘Kidney Run’ organised by Sibu Kidney Foundation (SKF) in conjunction with World Kidney Day to be held on March 15 (Sunday) has been cancelled.
SKF, in a statement yesterday, said this was in line with the advice from the Health Ministry (MoH), urging the public and organisers to postpone all mass gatherings to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19).
“SKF fully supports MoH’s advice,” it said.
However, the organiser said those who have registered can collect their T-shirts and medals which have been prepared at SKF during office hours.
“SKF hopes the public will continue to give their support. We also hope members of the public will drink more water to protect their kidney,” it said.
