Covid-19: Sabah records 23 new positive cases, bringing total to 49 cases

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has recorded 23 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) today, bringing the total to 49 cases in the State, according to the Sabah Ministry of Health and People’s Wellbeing.

The Ministry stated that out of the 49 positive cases, 44 are Malaysians and five are Indonesians.

The highest number of Covid-19 cases was reported in Lahad Datu (14), followed by Kota Kinabalu (nine), Tawau (eight), Kinabatangan (five), Tuaran (three), Kunak (two), Putatan (two), Sandakan (two), and one each in Beaufort, Kota Belud, Papar and Sipitang.

Meanwhile, the five Indonesians who are infected with Covid-19 were reported in Lahad Datu (three), Putatan (one) and Sandakan (one).
