KUCHING: Sarawak has recorded eight positive Covid-19 cases as of 11am today, said the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).
It said in its daily update that five of the new cases have been admitted to Sarawak General Hospital while two are at Miri Hospital and one at Sibu Hospital.
This brings the state’s number of positive cases to 42 thus far.
A total of 656 people have been traced to Cluster 1, which is linked to the tabligh gathering at Jamek Sri Petaling Mosque in Kuala Lumpur which was held from Feb 27 to March 1.
Meanwhile, JPBN said there are 35 persons-under-investigation (PUI) cases as of 10am today.
It also said that the total number of PUI cases pending lab results are 204.
Since Jan 11, 502 people have tested for Covid-19, of which 263 have tested negative.
