SANDAKAN: Sandakan Muncipal Council (SMC) President, Wong Foo Tin has issued an order to all restaurants, fast food premises, supermarkets and grocery stores in Sandakan that they have to close their businesses by 7pm daily until March 31.
Wong also issued another order to inform all sellers in markets, supermarkets, mini markets, grocery stores, restaurants, fast food operators that it is compulsory for them to wear face mask, avoid physical contact with customers, practise social-distancing from customers.
All fast food handlers must also wear face mask and hand gloves when preparing food, while all restaurants and fast food handlers must prepare hand sanitizer for customers who are waiting for their takeaway orders.
They must also prepare a waiting space or draw a line so that the customers waiting will be one meter away from each other.
Maximum of five customers could stay at the area to wait for their order at a time and customers are not allowed to gather/crowd a place.
Wong said he hoped all parties involve would cooperate in the effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 in Sandakan.
