MCO: H&L Supermarket’s online delivery service stretched to full capacity

KUCHING: H&L Supermarket’s online grocery delivery service is working at its maximum capacity following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) which started on March 18.

H&L Retail Sdn Bhd Marketing Officer Lianny Bujang said its H&Lxpress App received about 200 orders per day since before the MCO and even more so now. Due to the overwhelming orders, delivery takes over four days to arrive at the customers’ respective addresses.

“Our goods for the delivery service comes from the H&Lxpress Center, which is at H&L Tabuan Plaza. Due to overwhelming response, customers need to wait for over four days for their goods to arrive at their respective address. Delivery is carried out daily from 10am onwards,” said Lianny when contacted today.

Asked on the most sought out items, she said it was daily essential food items such as milk powder and rice.

She said customers can place orders at anytime on the app and they will get to enjoy online exclusive prices.

H&L started online delivery services in mid-2019 and have received overwhelming response since the service was launched.

The MCO period takes place from March 18 to 31, and the public are advised to stay home to curb the spread of the disease.
