SIBU: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs has allowed retailers to increase their stock of essential goods by 20 per cent.
Head of Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Mukah branch, Salihin Den, said the approval was given to selected retailers in Mukah Division.
The items are sugar, cooking oil and flour.
Salihin said the selected retailers included supermarkets and grocery shops frequented by people.
“The ministry gives flexibility to the limit of controlled items stock to selected retailers in Mukah Division,” he said.
He reminded the selected retailers to always replenish the stock of the controlled items.
