Many customers at the market are seen wearing face masks.

KUCHING: The Sungai Maong Bazaar here was still busy, but less crowded with shoppers yesterday morning as the Movement Control Order (MCO) entered its third day.

The majority of customers were observed wearing face masks as they purchased essential supplies and takeaway meals.

Even though the bazaar was not as crowded as usual, many of the parking bays were occupied. However, shoppers were noted leaving quickly after picking up their necessities. Premises offering non-essential goods and services were not operating, as per the MCO requirement.

Although coffee shops at the bazaar were open, not all their stalls were operating. By noon, those offering vegetables and fruits shut their businesses for the day, with just some food stalls, the pharmacy, supermarket, convenience store, and a few coffee shops continuing to trade.
