KUCHING: The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) has announced the temporarily closure of its headquarters and all divisional offices from today until March 31 in light of the current Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) outbreak.

According to a press statement yesterday, JBALB said the temporary closure was one of the precautions taken in line with the Movement Control Order (MCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19.

“Despite such closure, all operations of water treatment plants and water pressure pump stations across Sarawak go on as usual,” it added.

JBALB said its staff would be prepared to return to office to deal with any urgent matters.

“On our part, we will make sure that our role to serve the community is fulfilled even though we work from home,” said the statement.
