KAPIT: Rumah Temuai 1 at Jalan Selirik will serve as a quarantine centre for Covid-19.
The building under the Kapit District Council (KDC) is a rest house for poor rural folk seeking medical treatment or caring for patients at Kapit Hospital.
KDC has carried out a thorough cleaning of the premises using disinfectant to meet the hygiene requirements as a quarantine centre.
Meanwhile, walikota Lating Minggang said overall Kapit residents are complying well with the movement control order (MCO).
“The KDC team that comprises the joint-force between the enforcement section and the public health section has also been mobilised by the council to do daily routine patrols, working in shifts, to ensure that everyone is complying with the movement control order and staying at home, with the exception of the residents who really need to go out to buy their necessities,” he told the press.
“The council has found that everyone is very supportive and very cooperative in doing their part in helping to curb the spread of Covid-19.”
