KUCHING: The Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance Grant of RM1,500 will be given to each hawker and petty trader registered with the local authorities.
For those who do not have a licence or permit, they are advised to register with the local authorities stating the purpose of obtaining the special aid by filling in the form either manually or online.
Manual forms can be obtained from the service counter of the nearest local authority. Registration opens until May 31.
Consideration will be based on the criteria set by the local authority.
The grant will be paid out to the respective qualified entrepreneurs through Sarawak Pay account in two tranches, the first one (RM750) either in April or May and the second one either in June or July.
If an individual has a business licence and a Sarawak Pay account before April 15, payments will be credited into the person’s Sarawak Pay account starting April 23.
Those having a business licence but do not have a Sarawak Pay account, the cash payments can be claimed from any Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch by providing their identity card and business licence from May.
Those who have a business permit from the local authority and a Sarawak Pay account before May 31, payment will be credited into the Sarawak Pay account beginning June.
Individuals who have a business permit from the local authority but do not have a Sarawak Pay account, the cash payments can be claimed from any BSN branch by providing identity card and business permit from June.
Sarawak Pay apps can be downloaded to smartphone through Google Play Store or App Store.
