Bomba aerial survey shows no more flooding in affected areas

BINTULU: The Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department’s (Bomba) aerial surveillance on Wednesday found there was no longer flooding in previously affected areas.

Bomba checked on Data Kakus in Sungai Burok, as well as Uma Kaher and Punan Bah, Sungai Rajang in Belaga.

“During the surveillance in the three affected areas, we found out that the water level had returned to normal,” said operation commander Christus Buson.

The Bintulu Fire Station chief said the surveillance by helicopter started at 10.10am and ended at 12.42pm.

Christus said there was no rescue or evacuation operation conducted since the situation in the affected areas were under control.

Also joining the aerial surveillance were Bomba Bintulu zone chief Unjar Lum and Bomba Miri zone chief Law Poh Kiong.
