MIRI: The divisional Disaster Management Committee has inspected 13 government departments and agencies here on standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Acting Resident Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf who is also the committee chairman led members of the committee suring the two-day inspection, which ended yesterday.
The departments and agencies were Treasury Department, Sarawak Islamic Religious Department, Welfare Department, Miri Islamic Complex, Public Works Dept, Forest Dept, Drainage and Irrigation Dept, Land and Survey Dept, Natural Resources Environment Board, Rural Water Supply Dept, Sarawak Rivers Board, and Miri City Council.
The committee was generally satisfied with the compliance level, and for adhering to the SOP, he added.
The SOPs strictly adhered to were that visitors had their body temperature taken, hand sanitisers provided, social distancing observed, and there were posters put up showing ways to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
