KUCHING: Cuckoo International (MAL) Sdn Bhd has bagged two wins for its healthy appliances brand Cuckoo at the recent Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards ceremony, which was held virtually.

A press statement said Cuckoo International’s efforts to offer ‘Beyond Standards’ healthy home solutions have culminated in its second consecutive ‘Malaysia Home Water Filter Customer Value Leadership Award’ and its first ‘Malaysia Home Air Purifier Product Line Strategy Leadership Award’.

“It is truly an honour to be recognised by Frost & Sullivan once again. These awards reflect who we are as a brand — a Healthy Home Creator striving to be better every day, for our customers and fans,” said Cuckoo International chief marketing officer Queenie Goh.

Goh said the awards also represent Cuckoo’s passion in going ‘Beyond Standards’ always to constantly craft exceptional experiences as well as to deliver innovative health-focused products.

“Today’s win is only a part of our journey in shaping a healthier living for all Malaysians, and we will continue doing so, through our Cuckoo Healthy Home platform, staying true to our ‘Beyond Standards’ promise,” she said.

From the introduction of Malaysia’s first-ever mild alkaline water purifiers to the introduction of its flexible payment plan – Cuckoo Goood Plan, Cuckoo International has long been recognised for its efforts to challenge the boundaries and innovate to offer Malaysians a holistic healthy home solution.

This has subsequently led to the brand’s various achievements including the Frost & Sullivan’s ‘Home Water Filter Growth Excellence Leadership Award’ in 2017 and 2018, as well as the current ‘Malaysia Home Water Filter Customer Value Leadership Award’ won last year and this year, marking the brand’s fourth win in the water filter segment.

“Amid Malaysia’s highly fragmented water filter market, Cuckoo has excelled in three key growth areas, namely understanding demand, nurturing the brand, and differentiating itself from the competition,” said Frost & Sullivan senior industry analyst (Energy and Environment) Viswesh Vancheeshwar.

As a result, Viswesh said the company has been able to consistently record triple-digit growth within a short period.

“With an unwavering focus on enhancing customer experience, providing value, and keeping its offerings affordable, Cuckoo has successfully consolidated its prime position in the Malaysian water filter market,” he said.

Staying true to its core value of delivering solutions ‘Beyond Standards’, Viswesh said Cuckoo embeds into its products cutting-edge technologies to deliver the highest quality standards.

“The company prides itself on continuous research and development efforts to deliver exceptional air purifier products based on diverse consumer needs. This has helped Cuckoo pioneer innovations, including the B Model Cordless, which is Malaysia’s first cordless home air purifier; and the C+ Model, which is the country’s first air purifier plus humidifier.”

With strong brand awareness, reliability, and exceptional customer services, he said Cuckoo continues to exemplify its mission of going beyond standards in providing a safe and healthy home environment.

Water Purifiers and Air Purifiers are two of the four key product categories under the Healthy Appliance brand Cuckoo along with the multi-cooker category and kitchen appliances category.

Diversifying and expanding Cuckoo International’s product offerings, the company has also launched its Cuckoo Healthy Home platform, featuring four key pillars and brands.

The first three pillars are ‘Healthy Appliances’ with the Cuckoo brand; ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ with beauty care brand – WonderLab; and ‘Healthy Home Care’ with the WonderKlean brand providing indoor disinfection services.

“Our achievements are made possible with strong support from our exceptional teams, who have put their heart and soul at every step of the way, into building a brand that is trusted by Malaysians,” said Cuckoo International founder and chief executive officer Hoe Kian Choon, expressing gratitude for the support and attributing the company’s success to the team.
