KAPIT: Lions’ Club of Kapit presents milk powder for three 18-month-old toddlers here in a ‘Hunger Relief Project’ during their second visit on Thursday.

Bantar Rajang, a 35-year- old housewife, gave birth to quadruplets in the Kapit Hospital last year.

Spontaneous quadruplet pregnancy is extremely rare and four doctors from the hospital were involved in the successful delivery of the quadruplets in a rural hospital through Caesarean section complicated by eclampsia but unfortunately one was a stillbirth.

The three surviving babies are Darvin Mike (boy), Davina Missa and Daviandra Missel (girls).

Organising chairperson Dr Sia Tih Kong led the group on the visit to the family at a single storey house in Taman BianHua, Jalan Selirik to hand over 17 packs of 900gm and 15 packs of 600gm of Dutch Baby milk powder to Bantar .

They first visited the family on July 22 with disposable diapers, mattresses and other    necessities.

Bantar sells fried chicken in town to supplement the income of her lorry driver husband Dingai Dumbai attached to a logging company in Ulu Baleh.

The couple who hail from Rumah Ajut, Nanga Sewawang, Baleh has six boys and three girls with the eldest daughter studying in sixth form.

Lions’ president Munah Akun, secretary Stanley Ling, treasurer Sng Geok Yian and some exco members were also present.
