KUCHING: “Kamek Kaya Budaya”, the National Day edition of “Temu Minda” was held at RTM Kuching tonight and televised “live” on RTM 1, with Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah highlighting the cultural richness found in Sarawak.

The 60-minute, two-segment show, with Saifuddin as moderator, began with a lengthy explanation by Sarawak historian Datuk Dr Sanib Said.

In the second segment, the audience was entertained by traditional music band At Adau, that renders contemporary world music.

The band was founded in June 2014 and is inspired by the spirit of traditional Sape tunes mixed with traditional percussions from the various tribes in Borneo such as the Bidayuh, Iban and Orang Ulu.

Meanwhile, Saifuddin is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Yang Dipertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud tomorrow morning before leaving for Sibu in the afternoon to attend the Malaysia Day 2020 Main Committee Meeting. — BERNAMA
