Bomba personnel retrieving the body from the river.
BINTULU (Sept 28): The body of an unidentified man was found floating in Kemena river around 8.20am today.
Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Christus Buson confirmed that a team of firefighters were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call about the discovery of the dead body.
Christus said Bomba personnel took almost half an hour to fish the body out from the river.
He said initial examinations found that body was discovered without any identification on his body.
The victim’s body was then handed over to the police before being sent to Bintulu Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
The police are still investigating the case.
