GRS, independent elected reps gathering at hotel to wait for CM’s swearing-in ceremony

KOTA KINABALU (Sept 28): The 38 newly elected Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) assemblymen from Perikatan Nasional (PN), Barisan Nasional (BN) and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), as well as three independent assemblymen, have gathered at Magellan Sutera Resort here this morning to wait for the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister at Istana Negeri.

This was despite an information from the Media and Corporate Communications Division of the Sabah Information Department informing the media that then swearing in ceremony for the chief minister would be held at Istana Negeri at 10.30am tomorrow.

When met, PBS information chief cum Kiulu assemblyman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said besides waiting for the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister at the Istana Negeri, they were there to prepare for any eventuality.

He said all the seven PBS assemblymen remained steadfast with GRS and urged Warisan Plus to respect the outcome of the 16th Sabah State Election.
