Incessant rain causes flood at Kuala Nyalau

BINTULU: Heavy rain since 1am yesterday has caused flood waters to inundate several low-lying areas in Kuala Nyalau.

According to a Civil Defence Force (APM) spokesman here, Lt (PA) Ra’idah Jomi in a statement, the water level in the affected areas was about three feet.

She said they received a call regarding the floods in the village at 9.40am before dispatching a team to the location to monitor the situation.

She added the team arrived at the location at 11.27am and reported that a road to SK Nyalau and Nyalau Clinic were flooded.

No one in the village were evacuated so far, and the APM would continue to closely monitor the situation.
