KUCHING: Social worker Datuk Seri Ang Lai Soon expressed relief that finally the world is beginning to see a light at the end of the Covid-19 tunnel with the approval of the vaccines.

However, it is crucial that the Covid-19 vaccine is made available to everyone especially the frontliners in the fight against the Coivd-19 flu he said in a statement yesterday.

Ang added the vaccine should be given free to the people otherwise a vast majority of the people who cannot pay for the vaccine will be left out

“Some months ago I made a passionate appeal through the media to all countries to purchase the vaccine when it is available.

I suggested if need be the countries must dig into their reserves to acquire the vaccine”

Ang said that Malaysians are fortunate and thankful that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had pledged that vaccine would be given free to the people.

Sarawakians are among the more fortunate in the nation as Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg had reinforced that assurance that the state government will ensure that the vaccine reach everyone in the state and is willing to use its own resources to achieve that he added.
