KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 195 new Covid-19 recoveries throughout the state yesterday, bringing the cumulative number of patient discharges to 5,774.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update said the recoveries were recorded at Sibu Hospital (87), Miri Hospital (57), Sarikei Hospital (20), Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) (15), Kapit Hospital treatment and quarantine centre (PKRC) (14), Bintulu Hospital (1) and Limbang Hospital (1).
The number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment as of yesterday stood at 2,066, with more than half of them in Sibu Hospital.
According to SDMC, Sibu Hospital has 1,135 patients followed by 244 in Miri Hospital, 227 in Kapit Hospital PKRC, 216 in SGH, 185 in Bintulu Hospital, 31 in Sarikei Hospital, 27 in Sri Aman Hospital PKRC, and one in Lawas Hospital PKRC.
The committee also reported 191 new person-under-investigation cases yesterday with seven of them still awaiting laboratory test results.
