SIBU: Farmers in Dudong constituency have received agricultural aid amounting to RM1 million.
Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) president Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, who is Bintulu MP, applied for the aid.
In a press statement on Thursday, Tiong said the aid included fertiliser, pesticides, and sprayers.
PDP Dudong chairman councillor Teo Boon Siew handed over the aid to the 22 farmers.
He said more agricultural aid would be handed out to the farmers in phases.
“Once we have received, we shall hand them out without delay to help ease the affected farmers,” said Teo.
