Pakan district turns green, Julau and Subis districts revert to orange

KUCHING (Feb 28): Pakan district has reverted to a green zone from yellow today, after no new local transmissions were recorded in the last 14 days, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

The committee in a statement today also said Julau and Subis districts have reverted from red to orange zones after each recorded 40 and 25 cases respectively over a period of 14 days.

However, Kanowit, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Samarahan, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu districts remain as red zones, recorded a total of 2,580 local cases over the past two weeks, said SDMC.

Apart from Julau and Subis, other orange zones as of today are Selangau, Bau, Bukit Mabong, Dalat and Sri Aman district which recorded a total of 157 local cases in the past 14 days.

Yellow zones districts are Pusa, Song, Asajaya, Beluru, Sarikei, Lundu, Saratok, Sebauh, Tatau, Serian and Belaga, recording a total of 86 cases over the last 14 days.

Besides Pakan, the other green zone districts are Matu, Lawas, Daro, Simunjan, Lubok Antu, Telang Usan, Limbang, Tanjung Manis, Tebedu, Mukah, Kabong and Marudi.

Based on Ministry of Health (MOH)’s classification, districts with more than 40 cases in a two-week period is classified as red zones, 21 to 40 cases as orange zones, one to 20 cases as yellow zones and those with no cases as green zones.
