KUCHING: Batang Lupar MP Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim regards the Covid-19 vaccination programme as one meant ‘for the common good and to protect the community’.

In this respect, she encourages those who have yet to register to come forward and sign-up for the programme, which is run as an effort to free the community from the Covid-19 infection.

“To the community out there, I hope they would come forward and sign up to receive this vaccine.

“This is for the common good and as an added protection against Covid-19. God-willing, there’s nothing to worry about the vaccination – this vaccine is safe for humans,” said Rohani when met after she had undergone vaccination at Stadium Perpaduan Negeri here yesterday.

Rohani described the experience of receiving the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine as ‘a bit nerve-wrecking’.

“After taking the jab and being observed for almost half an hour, I did not experience any severe side effect,” she said.

As a token of appreciation, Rohani distributed drinking water and biscuits to all healthcare and medical frontliners, who were on duty at the stadium yesterday.
