KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 50 new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday, which brought the state’s total number of infected individuals to 59,003.

“A low number for Sabah today, just 50 new cases.

“With the exception of Tawau 19 & KK 11, other districts have single digit number of new cases with zero case in 18 districts.

“Subject to few minor adjustments, Sabah will continue with our current SOPs,” said state Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun in his Twitter post.

As reported yesterday, Masidi said that Sabah will stick to its current SOPs under the state’s Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), although Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced a nationwide MCO until June 7.

Masidi said he had requested for Sabah to maintain its SOPs, as they are proven and still remain effective in controlling the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
