SIBU (May 19): A school security guard was killed after her car crashed into a tree at Jalan Ling Kai Cheng here at around 6.30pm yesterday.
Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the victim was identified as Ina Srang, 29, from Sungai Maong in Kanowit.
“The victim was heading towards Teku before she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree at the roadside.
“She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Sibu Hospital,” he said in a statement.
Police are investigating the case.
